Since it was my Fall Break this past week (woo hoo) Gair and I packed up our bags on Thursday and headed to his family's mountain house in Saluda, NC.
We were so excited to get away for a few days to relax and enjoy the beautiful mountains! You can't beat this breathtaking view from the top of the mountain :)
Thursday evening after we got settled in we headed back up the mountain to Tryon to go eat dinner at Sidestreet and watch Game 2 of the World Series!
Friday we got up and headed into Hendersonville for lunch and some shopping! Mr. and Mrs. Heady, Caroline and Elliot were heading up to the mountain house that afternoon and were there when we got back! We spent the rest of the afternoon playing with Elliot and waiting on Taylor and Curtis to get there. We ate Sidestreet (again) for dinner, played, watched a movie and had a relaxing evening!
Little Elliot even loved sitting with Uncle Gair and watching videos on Caroline's iPhone!
We all went to the apple orchard on Saturday morning to pick apples! I will post more about that tomorrow :)
...and Saturday afternoon Gair and I took a turn onto Pearson Falls Rd. to just drive around and enjoy the beautiful colors of the changing leaves and to explore parts of Saluda that we haven't seen before!
This was the perfect weekend to go to the mountains because of all the trees changing colors! I felt like I literally got to watch as the leaves changed colors the three days we were there!
Have a wonderful Wednesday!
