busy, but WONDERFUL weekend with 2 amazing families

You know it's going to be a GREAT weekend when you get to spend it with two amazing families!  This past weekend was going to be REALLY jam packed with a lot going on, but I couldn't wait for everything we had planned....

We left Friday afternoon to head to the mountain house with Tay and Curt (Gair's lil' sis and bro-in-law).  The whole Heady clan was going, so we knew it would be a blast.  The reason we were going to the mountains for Easter weekend was because Blockhouse Steeplechase was being held that Saturday.  Blockhouse Steeplechase is a horse race that is held in Tryon, NC (it's kinda like the Carolina Cup, but a more redneck version...i like Blockhouse better :)  We had such a great time!
'Little E' running around the cabin getting all the attention and loving every second of it :)  She loved her Uncle Gair's  Masters visor!
Elliot getting ready to watch the horses race with her Pop! (Jeremy's parents were able to come down from Tennessee and spend  the weekend with us too.)
The have a dog race before the horses start!
Mr. and Mrs. Heady aka Big G and GiGi
Gair and I enjoying the beautiful day!
I just loved this picture!!  She loves her Momma!
Gair rockin' some of Elliot's beautiful pearls!
The beautiful Reeves family!  Caroline is Gair's little sister (the oldest of the 2 sisters)
Gair and Tay
The horses!  The green one on the right was ONE of my WINNING picks for the races.  We bet $10 a person and everyone chose a horse to win each race.  I WON 2/5 of them and tied one!!!!!  The best part of that is the other 2 races, no one picked the winning horse, so I WON almost all the $$$$
Gair's birthday was the Thursday before and Taylor and Mrs. Anita (Jeremy's mom) both have the same birthday which was the next Wednesday (tomorrow)!!!!
Me and my sweet boy :)
Tay and Curt watching the last race before we had to head back home!

We had a great time with the Heady family in the mountains and at the race, but we had to head back to Columbia and then drive to IOP to see my family for Easter!  The drive was LOOOONNNNGGGGG, but we made it!  We met my parents and some of their friends at Water's Edge (a restaurant in Mt. Pleasant) and then hopped on the Edwards' new boat to take a little harbor cruise back to IOP marina.  We had such a great time! I think because I had taken so many pictures during the day at the horse race, I forgot to take pictures on the boat!  Oh well....

On Easter we all went to Seacoast for church then came back to my house to take some family pics!  Becca got an awesome camera for her birthday, so we had some fun with it!

I took this picture of our Marlie girl and was very proud of myself (even though it was really Bec's camera doing the work)
After our photo shoot we went to my Aunt Bonnie and Uncle Dan's house on Sullivan's Island for a wonderful Easter lunch!  After lunch we watched the end of The Heritage and enjoyed the rest of the beautiful day outside!

I am one BLESSED girl to have 2 amazing families to spend Easter weekend with!!!
